Forging: The process of shaping metal through hammering and compression, performed under either cold-working or high-temperature conditions; it is one of the simplest and oldest metal-forming techniques.
Rolling: A process in which heated metal billets pass through a series of cylindrical rollers; these rollers compress the metal into a die to achieve a predetermined shape.
Wire Drawing: A process used to transform metal rods into fine wires by pulling them through a series of dies with progressively smaller diameters.
Extrusion: A cost-effective, continuous manufacturing process used to produce solid or hollow metal shapes with a uniform cross-section; it can be performed under both high-temperature and cold-working conditions.
Impact Extrusion: A process used to manufacture small to medium-sized parts that do not require a tapered profile. It offers rapid production, accommodates parts with varying wall thicknesses, and entails low manufacturing costs.
Powder Metallurgy: A manufacturing process applicable to both ferrous and non-ferrous metal components. It comprises two fundamental steps: blending metal alloy powders and compacting the mixture into a mold.
The metal particles are subsequently sintered (bonded) into a solid form through high-temperature heating. This process eliminates the need for machining, achieves raw material utilization rates of up to 97%, and allows for the use of different metal powders to fill specific sections of the mold.
